Beautorium Training Academy at the Professional Hair and Beauty Show 2026

The 2026 Professional Hair & Beauty Show 2026 was an incredibly proud and inspiring weekend for the team at Beautorium Training Academy, showcasing not only the talent within our academy, but also the continued growth and recognition of our work within the Irish beauty industry.

This year’s event was particularly special as Beautorium was represented across multiple areas of the show - from education and competition success, to industry judging and exhibiting at our own showcase stand.

Celebrating Student Success

Winner of the Creative Front Cover Category for the Student Make up Competition Hannah Pepper with Academy Director and Competition Mentor Joanne Quinn Geoghegan

One of the highlights of the weekend was seeing our talented student Hannah Pepper achieve success in the student make-up competitions with her stunning creative look, “Underwater Realm.”

Hannah originally undertook work placement with Joanne during Transition Year before continuing to develop her skills through make-up training at Beautorium. Watching her confidence, creativity and technical ability evolve over time has been incredibly rewarding.

Competition Success

Competitions like these are about far more than trophies, they build confidence, professionalism, resilience and industry-ready skills. We are extremely proud to see our students stepping onto national stages and representing Beautorium with such professionalism and creativity.

From Student to Industry Judge

Another proud moment for the academy was seeing One of Joannes past students Laura Thornton return to the show again as a judge for some of the make-up competitions.

Seeing former learners progress into respected industry professionals is exactly what education should be about. Laura’s journey reflects the importance of nurturing creativity, technical skill and confidence within the beauty industry, and we were delighted and so proud to see her involved at judging level during such a major industry event.

Joanne’s Role as an Industry Judge

Academy founder Joanne was also honoured to be invited to judge at the accompanying Professional Hair & Beauty Awards 2026, recognising over 20 years of experience across beauty therapy, advanced skin treatments, education and industry development.

Being involved at judging level allows Joanne to continue contributing to raising standards within the industry while supporting professionalism, education and innovation across the beauty sector.

As an internationally accredited academy delivering both ITEC and AIT qualifications, Beautorium remains passionate about helping learners build real careers within beauty, aesthetics and media make-up.

Throughout the weekend, the Beautorium stand at the show welcomed visitors from across Ireland who were interested in learning more about our accredited courses, advanced skincare training, laser and aesthetic education, and creative make-up programmes.

The event gave us the opportunity to connect with:

  • aspiring beauty professionals

  • salon owners

  • past graduates

  • industry suppliers

  • educators

  • skincare and aesthetic professionals

We also had the chance to discuss the future of beauty education, the increasing demand for advanced skin knowledge, and the importance of maintaining high training standards within the industry.

Looking Ahead

Events like the Professional Hair & Beauty Show continue to remind us why we are so passionate about education. Watching students grow into confident professionals, educators and even judges themselves is one of the most rewarding parts of what we do.

To everyone who visited our stand, supported our students, or stopped to chat over the weekend - thank you.

And most importantly, congratulations again to Hannah, Laura and all of the competitors who showcased their creativity, professionalism and passion for the industry.

The future of beauty education in Ireland is bright - and we are proud to be part of it.
